Law Student's Association of Bermuda ("LSAB")

 

LSAB is a registered charity that aims to promote the interests of Bermudian law students, studying both at home and abroad. Student members enjoy the benefit of a bi-annual newsletter, information on legal receptions, student events and scholarships, legal training workshops, and networking opportunities.

New Members: As always, the LSAB are consitently looking to get new members to join LSAB and we believe this is another great way of informing Bermudian law students that there is an Association that is willing to support and receive any questions that you may have. LAW STUDENT REGISTRATION: Effective the 1st of July 2015, law students are encouraged to register with the Bar Assocication Office using the Law Student Registration Form. The Bar Association in keeping with its general responsibilities in the encouragement of legal education and the study of law will host various events targeting law students. Students are also encouraged to register with the Law Students Association of Bermuda ("LSAB") www.lsabermuda.org

 

PUPIL REGISTRATION:  As of the 1st of May 2014, Bermuda based Pupils are required to register with the Bermuda Bar Association office. Please fill in the attached Pupil Registration form and submit it to bdabar@logic.bm

 

MARSHALLING SCHEME APPLICATION: Sir Richard Ground Marshalling Scheme Application Form (This scheme enables students, who have completed their law degree or common professional examinations but have not yet been called to the Bar or started articles or pupilage, to spend a day or days (up to two weeks) in Court with a Supreme Court Judge.  The Bermuda Bar Association offers this opportunity to Bermudian law students in conjunction with the Supreme Court of Bermuda).

 

PUPILLAGE GUIDELINES: Pupil Master's and Pupils obligations. A Barrister, or Attorney may only act as a pupilmaster in Bermuda following at least 5 years' post-qualification experience, preferably in Bermuda. Pupillage Guidelines
